Banksy has pulled off one of his most daring stunts to date - an enormous protest against Britain’s surveillance society painted just feet from a CCTV (Closed-circuit television) surveillance camera. Believed to be his biggest work yet in central London, the secretive graffiti artist managed to erect three storeys of scaffolding behind a security fence despite being watched by a CCTV camera.
The guerrilla artwork appeared on a wall above a Post Office yard off Oxford Street in central London on Monday morning. It features a boy in a red jacket painting the slogan “One Nation Under CCTV” in stark white capitals. His actions are filmed by a policeman next to a barking dog.
Frequently touching on political issues in his work, last month a Banksy-style painting depicting two children pledging allegiance to supermarket giant Tesco appeared on the wall of a north London pharmacy. It was interpreted as support for the growing campaign to ban free plastic bags.

There have been a lot of innovative advances in graffiti art to expand the artists canvas. “Tagged in Motion” is a project created by Hamburg graffiti artist DAIM, that eliminates a graffer canvas of a solid matter and unveils the ability to be able to tag in mid air, creating real-time graffiti in 3D, a virtual world of graffiti visible through 3D glasses.
The graffiti is captured using three camcorders with motion capturing. They record the graffer position and his exact motions he executes with a virtual spray can. By using the 3D glasses, the graffer can view his art in real time. Using a Bluetooth controller, the artist can pick and choose his colors, brush strokes and textures to enhance his floating 3D graffiti experience.
Some fresh illustrations from Sam Glynn, a 22 year old artist based in London, England. In his own words, describing his creative process:
I create my illustrations using anything I can get my hands on, whether its pens, pencils, spray paint, ink, print rollers or photography. I love dirty found textures, patterns and muted colours. I enjoy anything that makes interesting marks on the page. I utilise the computer to deconstruct my images with hand made elements and generally make a nice looking mess on the screen.
